I’m not really sure. I’m no expert. But, I’m sure you get what you pay for.

This is the project I’ve been working on this week, and the reason I haven’t been around much lately! It’s for an art auction to benefit the creation of a local skate park. The black base is grip-tape that you would normally find covering the top of a skateboard, and the illustration is of various Maine flora and fauna.
I keep getting people asking why I would put art on the top, since it would get scuffed by feet…. this is not meant to be a functional board, though, it’s just an art piece! Even if I put papercraft on the backside it still would not be very functional :’Da
I’m very pleased with this, but yikes, I don’t think I’ll work with grip tape anytime soon! It’s tough stuff, very hard to cut, and my knuckles are still crackling and my arms are still a little sore. Ahh, what we do for our art!
